Evans progressed through Premier League club Blackburn Rovers youth system from 2008 until 2011.
On 31 October 2011, Evans signed a one-month loan deal with Accrington Stanley. On 16 December 2011 it was announced Evans had extended the loan deal until the end of the 2011–12 season.
